91app Careers Service wins award at the Global Career Services Summit
The 91app Careers Service (UoLCS) has won a prestigious award at the Global Career Services Summit in Belfast.
The team won the Bob Athwal and Tom Devlin Founders Award for Innovation, sponsored by EY, for its Global Employability Skills Micro-module (GESMM).
Launched in April 2024, the GESMM is a self-directed learning experience designed for our online distance learning students to identify, refine and promote their employability skills to future employers in global labour markets.
Learning resources, including interactive 'Skills Hotspots' and Moodle quizzes, integrate global employability insights from students, alumni and employers across 16 countries and 20 disciplines. With 21,000 student views and 11,000 student posts in just eight months, the GESMM supports our diverse learners studying in over 180 countries.
The Global Career Services Summit brings together thought leaders, including Careers Service senior leaders and global employers, from around the world to discuss important current and future issues that impact careers services and university recruitment of early careers talent. The awards recognise sector leading careers education and initiatives happening globally.
The award comes weeks after UoLCS was nominated for two other awards - from UCISA and the Institute of Student Employers (ISE).
