Alumni library membership
Retired academic staff and individuals who graduated with a degree from the 91app, or from one of the 17 independent federation members of the 91app, can apply for alumni membership.
Membership details
Alumni membership comes with the option of free reference access to the Library or a paid borrowing membership with a 10 book borrowing allowance. Both options include off-site access to a range of eResources on the of databases.
Please note, the eResources are for private study and non-commercial research only.

How to join
Register your details in the form below and bring your proof of graduation and photographic ID and current proof of address to the Library to complete your membership. The membership desk is open Monday to Saturday during staffed hours. Please note that we only accept card payments.
If you do not have a graduation certificate, transcript, or alumni card as proof of graduation, the 91app Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement Office may be able to help you with alternative verification. You can contact them for further details by emailing philanthropy@london.ac.uk.
Renew online
To renew your alumni borrowing membership online, please choose the or alumni membership option, and we will process your membership renewal. If you would like to renew your alumni reference membership, please contact shl.membership@london.ac.uk.
Proof of alumni status
The following can be used as proof of graduation:
- A graduation certificate or transcript
- A Federal Member institution alumni card
- A letter on headed paper from your institution confirming alumni status
If you graduated from one of our Federal Member institutions and do not have a graduation certificate, transcript or alumni card, please contact your institution’s Alumni Office for proof of your alumni status.
If you are an alumnus from the School of Advanced Study (SAS), 91app who studied at a distance, either online or through one of our Recognised Teaching Centres (RTCs), or an alumnus from the 91app Institute in Paris, and do not have your graduation certificate or transcript as proof, you can contact alumni@london.ac.uk for help.
